Elizabeth Sickles
President

Elizabeth Maora Sickels is a farm girl originally from the east side of Indiana. A Boilermaker (Purdue engineering grad) and Sparty (Michigan State MBA grad) she considers herself a reformed corporate engineer! She had a rewarding corporate career, traveling the world, working with great people from many cultures on some pretty cool projects and of course many 80 - 100 hour work weeks. When she was about to run out of vacation days mid 2016 she decided to take the leap, "retire" from her planning/strategy position at Ford Motor Company to strike out on her own! She traveled for 6 months, and Airbnb'd her condo in Michigan.  Having a great experience being a host (she made Superhost at the first assessment) and also as a guest she decided to build a full service home sharing business.

Elizabeth now resides in Indianapolis, Indiana starting up and running several small businesses, as well as public speaking. She enjoys time on the farm with the family, cooking, church activities, real estate investing, working out and traveling.

My wife & I purchased our first rental in the early 70's.
I continued purchasing more rentals in Illinois while working full time there.

Since that time we have liquidated all Illinois properties for the more favorable investments in Indiana.
This included duplexes, a 12 unit, and a mobile home park.
Founder of NICIA (Northwest Indiana Creative Investor Association).
I was an Elder at our church and on the building committee when we built a new facility.
Involved in Scouting while our 2 boys became Eagle Scouts.
Since 1995 have been full time in Real Estate Investments.
Mostly rentals, but have also done a lease option, wholesaling, rehabs, and pretty houses.
Member & Vice President of founding board of INstateREIA for the State of Indiana.
Looking to give a couple of houses to long time tenants.
Love to travel in our RV.

Jeffery Jinks, Carmel
Board Attorney

When you own a business or real estate, there are many challenges to face. Jeff knows that each property requires leasing, property management, tax matters, zoning, variances, contracts and purchase agreements, options, financing from equity partners, lenders and IRA Investors, leases, tenant issues, the litigation that flows from these issues, and your estate plan for your legacy.

Jinks’ interest in Law and Real Estate began at Indiana University Kelly School of Business where he graduated in 1987. Jinks then went on to find, Southside Real Estate Academy LLC., a real estate school to license brokers and provide professional continuing education; which he sold after six years.

In addition, he anchored a weekly talk radio show as the “Legal Eagle” answering callers questions related to business, real estate, financing, current cases, and self-directed IRA investments for real estate.

Jinks has been a leader in the Indiana Real Estate Exchangors, Inc., Young Life, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, South India Church of Christ Mission, Republican Precinct Committeeman, youth sports coach, and is an Eagle Scout.

My name is Alicia Ortiz. I have been an active investor since 2003. I have served over 5 years on the Board of Directors of RIEA-NCI and NICIA.  I am a founding member of INstateREIA and serve on the Board of Directors.  In 2016, I set up at meeting of all Indiana Investors who were in attendance at the OREIA Conference and through that meeting INstateREIA was born. I am proud to be able to give back to investors in Indiana by being a part of an organization that is about standing up for investors and giving investors a good name again. I look forward to helping this group move forward to the next level.
